Ghetro attended Wired on Monday 13th June; an urban scene of artists performing in a intimate environment bringing young up and coming voices. Wired is a monthly showcase promoting up and coming talent with the opportunity to socialise, chill out and enjoy some seriously good music!
This month saw performances from Cynthia Erivo, Ella Chi, Michael Duke and Shakka, bringing the morale of the eclectic audience to a high with cheers, laughter and compassion. Located at members only club Shoreditch House (& 4 flights of stairs to walk up), wired brought a chilled out atmosphere and just what anyone could ask for on a Monday evening.
Cythia Erivo, a singer who recently toured with Fantasia started the night with an emotional, heart felted ballad which won the crowd from point A. Ella Chi, a favourite of the show presented a reggae vibe with an indie twist, providing a performance which uplifted the beat of the show. Ella Chi is an unsigned artist, which is hard to believe! Michael Duke, also presenter of Wired, provided a soul vibe with his own rendition of a Tracy Chapman tune. Enrapturing the audience visually with his 80s swagga of suede studded boots and supporting high top afro this guy has a seriously funky style. Closing the night was the one and only Shakka; spelt with two K’s! His charismatic and infectious humour ended the night with a bang; you NEED to check him out!
With a diverse crowd of people, enabled a good vibe for networking; a big shout out to APE founder JC Adams for his appearance and conversing with Ghetro. His stuff is SIK so please check it out!
