Hold up Nancy

Wow! Ok so I was down Portebello road Market last Saturday, it was a lovely summers day, loads of people shopping for bargains and eating to their hearts content with a huge selection of cakes, fresh paella and ice-cream. Quite often you hear people busking away, however these guys really caught my eye.. or should i say ear! They are called 'Hold up Nancy' , and from what I could hear are a folk/ soul influenced band from London. You had one guy singing, one guy playing the guitar, another on the violin and another on a wooden drum box like thing!


Quite frankly, if you saw these guys walking down the road, you wold probably think they were off to the pub to watch the footie! Anywho, they were great! I loved the fact that they used the violin to add a folk like sounding to their music along with the husky voice of the vocalist it was a perfect pairing.
